Gwen Matear has trained dogs and their families for over 25 years, both in class situations and on a one-to-one basis.

Gwen is a Karen Pryor Academy Credited Training Partner and a Registered Animal Trainer with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council, Certified Trainer with INTODogs and ICAN and a Qualified Trainer with IMDT. She has a City & Guilds in Scent Detection and as a Scent Instructor. Gwen also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching alongside a Masters equivalent in People Development which means she is fully qualified to coach you to reach your goals.

Gwen’s current dogs are all spaniels and she has shared her life with a number of breeds and cross-breeds to date. She has trained her own dogs for Scentwork, Truffle Hunting, Working Trials, Lowland Search and Rescue and general obedience and one of her spaniels has worked as a Therapet.
